Synopsis

In this new show, Uma Coisa Longínqua (Something Faraway), we introduce an art piece that is a kind of epic and abstract poetry, celebrating the great deeds of a group of objects (creatures, creations?) in search for another place, and other ways of existing.

In this new show, Uma Coisa Longínqua (Something Faraway), we introduce an art piece that is a kind of epic and abstract poetry, celebrating the great deeds of a group of objects (creatures, creations?) in search for another place, and other ways of existing.

Triumphs and fails of these enigmatic entities are delivered through a film screened in real time, live screening of footage of animated sculptures. They go through different sets and situations that are also sensitive acoustic spaces.


We could be talking science fiction. Utopia in a distant planet or a dream in which more or less monumental structures silently decided to abandon the piazzas that separate large corporate buildings belonging to powerful international financial institutions. After their escape, the emancipated works of art met in the desert, intent on finding other possibilities for their existence in the material world.
