Pandora
Synopsis
This is a spectacle about the multiple spectacles that Pandora is, or might have been...
Our Pandora focuses on the influxes of desire in the process of creating and their relationship with the management of expectations. What should we expect from a rehearsal? And from a show inasmuch the "already made thing", more or less cooked to view? What gets out of these boxes is always different from that which we can imagine, that must be the reason why we never stop opening them.
Pandora is a girl/ woman who is growing and, at the (dis)comfort of her home, she travels the world around. She leaves in the quest for other senses that, when we perseverate to experiment, we know that we may find...
An unending number of boxes (or is it always the same box?) embodies the spectrum that animates this Pandora of ours. We search, inside and outside the box, for some ideas that have in common the goal of re-centering the view on the 'place from where we see', on that which has already been seen.
In this process, we also end up reflecting on the transitoriness that defines an action in its suchness as action, or, in other words, on the manner by which the action inscribes itself in time through the view of whom practices it and whom observes it - the actor-puppeteer is, finally, both of them.
The original mythological narrative keeps re-emerging, from time to time, under the form of short scenes, whose styles vary between the musical pamphleteer and the magical neo-realism. In this stage's box, the public, from all ages, sees the liberation of a sequence of intriguing and unusual images, where the "evils of the world" are portrayed (and considered) with humour and belief. From the past to the present, a promise of the future.
At the end, we invite the esteemed public to a ritual of proximity. Surrounded by hot and fine mini pancakes - in communion, we'll talk about what has just now happened to us.
